The food may be used as a daily oral hygiene aid in adult cats, in order to limit the development of dental plaque and tartar. The food may also be used to fight bad breath. Tartar formation is further reduced due to the action of Sodium polyphosphate, which binds salivary calcium, making it unavailable for tartar formation. The food also includes hairball regulation, ensuring that hairball related problems, such as vomiting and constipation are avoided. The food then increases urination, thus reducing the development of urinary stones and crystals.
